n  Prof. Daniel P. Loucks, Cornell University, USA

Professor Daniel P. Loucks serves on the faculties of the School of Civil and Environmental Engineering and the Institute of Public Affairs at Cornell University in Ithaca, NY, USA.  His teaching and research interests include the development and application of systems analysis methods integrating economics, ecology, environmental engineering and pubic policy.  He is the principal author of a widely used text in water resources systems planning and management. 

During periods of leave from Cornell, Loucks has conducted research and taught at Harvard, MIT, TU-Delft, TU-Wien, TU-Aachen, UNESCO-IHE, Colorado (Boulder), Adelaide, and Texas (Austin) Universities, and worked at the World Bank, the US Army Corps of Engineering Institute for Water Resources, and the International Institute for Applied Systems Analysis in Austria. 

He has served as an employee and/or consultant to private and government agencies, various organizations of the United Nations, and NATO, involved in regional water resources and economic development planning in Asia, Australia, Eastern and Western Europe, the Middle East, Africa, and Central and South America. 

He is a distinguished member of the American Society of Civil Engineers and a member of the US National Academy of Engineering, and recipient of a Senior U.S. Scientist Research Award from the German Alexander von Humboldt Foundation. 

He currently serves on the Governing Board of the Natural Heritage Institute, a law firm specializing in freshwater restoration located in San Francisco, California.

Prof. Jun Xia is the member of Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS), and Chair Professor & Director of The Research Institute for Water Security (RIWS), Wuhan University, also Distinguished Professor of Key Laboratory of Water Cycle & Related Land Surface Processes,Chinese Academy of Sciences (CAS). He has ample experiences on leading eco-hydrology, water resources research, managing and consulting jobs in China and other countries since 1987. He has served as the President of International Water Resources Association (IWRA, 2009-2012), Vice President of the International Association of Hydrological Sciences (IAHS, 2004-2007), Board Governor of World Water Council(WWC, 2009-2015), Co-Chair of InterAcademy Council for Water Programme (IAC-WP), Co-Chair of China-Australia Center on Water Resources Research, the member of Scientific Steering Committee for Global Water System Project (GWSP-SSC), Associated Editor ofJournal of Hydrologic Engineering, ASCE and so on. Recently, he was appointed by IAHS President as Honorary Vice-President of IAHS, and Chair of the Working Group on Representation of Developing Countries (WGRDC) for IAHS, 2015-2019. He was awarded The International Prize for Outstanding Contributions to Water Management” by The Third World Centre for Water Management on October, 2011, and also awarded “2014’s International Hydrological Prize-Volker Medal” jointly by IAHS, UNESCO, and WMO on April 24, 2014.
